cool.

This museum is not very big, but big enough to entertain without getting bored. The quality of the figures is very good.

I was there in September 2015 and I have to tell you I was shocked. The elder lady on the reception was rude, I asked her a few questions about taking pictures, and she basically yelled at me and she said to me that I should stop being so rude and listen to her. Im very sorry but that was... More

The Price is ok (6€for Adult and 4€ for Kids). Too pity they don't provide a family ticket. But kids were very happy and satisfied visiting this wax cabinet. From the main room to upstairs and downstairs were fascinating. Queen Elizabeth is like real and many other famous people may amuse visitors (Obama, Lady Di, Udo L, Lena, Angelina J,... More

There were a few good figures but most of them were not really realistic and halfbof them we didn't know who the wax figures are.

Dear Yankı B, Thank you for your visit and your review here on tripadvisor.com. You're right that we show in our exhibition also some waxworks which are not as good as others in our exhibition. In the 1960s and 1970s we had sculptors who produced wax figures which don't fulfill our today’s' quality standards. Due to this reason we replace... More

Run by the eccentric Vlad, curator, collector and photographer of this exhibition his warm welcome and surreal sense of humour are certainly part of the experience. This sizeable collection is wonderfully displayed for exploration as a living still life- though Vlad shuns the term sculptor. A must see for something weird and wonderful.

The Panoptikum is a wax museum with many German famous personalities as wax figures - from Otto to Schmidt. It also includes many international personalities. The figures are not always very accurate, but the whole ambience is really interesting...and in parts a little creepy from the way the decoration is set. As opposed to Madame Tussaud's museum, this museum is... More

The price for the tickets is pretty good, considering what you get to see at Panoptikum. Some figures look a bit unrealistic but in total it is a nice museum.

I stumbled upon this museum while walking downtown in Hamburg, and since it caught my attention I decided to try it out. The entrance fee is cheap (6 Euros if I remember correctly) and the staff was very friendly. Even though I did not recognize all of the wax figures within, it was very fun to walk around in there....
