The museum is huge. So is the collection. But its layout is disorganised and incoherent. There isn't any part of the collection which I find impressive. It isn't worth the entrance fee. The Kunsthalle and Deitchtorhallen are much better.

This museum is not to be missed! Once in Hamburg, one has to offer him/herself a view on beautiful objects that define human activities through time.

The video games exhibition that's currently on is good fun, as you can try out a range of video games from different genres / decades / consoles. The rest of the museum is fairly dull, although that is a matter of personal taste

Spent 3 very happy hours wandering the exhibits that ranged from art nouveau to contemporary in so many decorative arts. Didn't get to see it all and hope to come back.
