It's very hard to rate the museum because I don't speak German. As an English speaker, I found a few exhibits I could read and I relied on Google Translate to help me with some others. The highlight of the museum is the musical examples from Telemann, CPE Bach, and Hasse that are spread throughout the museum. Those were nice... More

We had a fun time at this very interactive museum. It has video explanations on every composer, which are light and funny, with cute animations. Great for kids!

Not the equivalent of an informative British Museum and at €9 per head a bit of a rip off. The three levels of display are confusing and have no logical flow. Items on display and historical significance a bit short on content. Staff on duty rather dull and boring with hardly any welcome or advice. The cloakroom attendant excluded, he... More

The refurbished Telemann museum now also features CPE Bach and Hasse as well. Still only recently opened, the English translations are still being made. Yet, as soon as the staff discovered we weren't native German speakers, one proceeded to give us a tour of the museum. We expected a few translations here and there of the main points, but instead... Freshly opened, this museum on the street corner is just up from the older Brahms Museum house in the same Peterstrasse. Cartoons, plug in and play music, in house simple restaurant, English translations coming soon when you press the world button on the information boxes.
