The Hanseatic city of Hamburg is the second largest in Germany). It's seat of government was rebuilt at the end of the 19th Century after the 17th Century original burned down in 1842.

Now you know where the early Amerikans got the idea to build the White Haus. Govt offices but also doubles as an open air cinema, open air musik concerts, etc.....

It is a magnificent building, but nothing more. I haven't been inside, just passed it, but I don't feel like it is very interesting place to go n Hamburg, there are so many more places to go.

More Room inside like the Buckingham Palace with wonderful ornaments on the roof, made of wood. Needs a least 2 hour for a guided tour to see all the famopus room.
