This small park (together with the embedded Chinese Garden) offers a good spot near the city center to release stress, watch old men playing chess, a children playground and some meadow to just relax.

If you are walking around Frankfurt and looking for a quieter, calmer place to sit or walk, just move away from the city centre to Bethmann park. There are monuments and sculptures throughout to look at. This park has been a park for over 200 years and is now considered a protected monument.

Small city park with Chinese garden in the middle located just at the end of the Anlage (former city wall and border to the inner city) with Bergerstrasse a great shopping street that flows up to Bornheim, touching one end. Flowers and paths abound.

I find myself returning again and again to Bethmann park. As Frankfurt parks go its small but it has a large heart. To one side are formal beds with the city greenhouses where you can take ailing plants for advice or even identification. The neat children's playground is very popular and the oversized chess board is always in use. This... More

Bethmannpark is pretty unique as within this park is the must see Chinese Gardens. The surrounding grounds in the park offer a huge chess area, lots of benches for relaxing, flowers, trees and plants in abundance. The park also has an extension across the street that has an even larger green space with weeping trees, a large pond, trees, statues... More

This is an interesting garden, quite central to Frankfurt. And on some days there's a resident expert who will give advice and to whom you can take specimens for identification. The Chinese garden is lovely - although the new bronze in there is entirely out of keeping - and ghastly!

A short walk from the city center, this park has a great feature: the chinese garden - really beautiful!

Walking from Frankfurt Messe to Bergerstrasse to explore Bornheim is an entrance to this beautifully landscaped park with garden beds ablaze with colour. An outdoor chess game in play with a number of elderly men & women watching. Clean restrooms here too! What a find!

I have been on Bergerstrasse few times since I have been in Germany and never noticed this park until recently. I decided to take a stroll through the park and was surprised how beautiful it was with various plots of different gardens of beautiful plants and flowerbeds. Right next to the park was a huge Chinese garden. It was a... More
