This park is located on Frankfurt's highest geographical point. Stroll among the rose-line paths and take account of the city's only vineyard. Enjoy the view of the Frankfurt skyline. There is an applewine garden and pub located here. This is a convenient place to meet with friends or family since the Lohrberg is located on the Friedberger Landstrasse, just off... More

Found Lohrpark by accident, but was really pleased to have a walk around there on a sunny October afternoon. What a view of the Frankfurt skyline too! Well worth a visit and definitely the sort of place to spend the day in, with a picnic, in the summer months.

The Lohrpark offers a beautiful view over Frankfurt. The park itself is also quite nice and you can find a lot of people having a picnic here (which might be the only negative aspect - it is hard to find a time when you can be there alone). It is also quite easy to access via SBahn.

I'm fascinated by the number of peaceful getaway spots in a city such as Frankfurt. Not somewhere nearby but literally within the city. Lohrberg is another such place and there you can walk around, have a picnic, jog, barbecue... or just enjoy the view.

This park is like arriving to a fairy land completely out of the German urban landscape. A peaceful and quiet hidden garden-like park with a gorgeous view over the city - with an additional fruit orchard to it. An orchard that creates the far-away-in-the-country, almost provence-like atmosphere where creative ideas are born, where good books are read and written, where... More

From the top of the mountain you can see the whole city. It is very relaxing. You can play with kids, there is a restaurant and small swimming pool in the park. Fantastic place.

The locals often come here to while away an afternoon. They come in numbers, armed with picnic baskets and blankets. It's definitely not overcrowded though. It's a great place to explore as well though. Good views of the area, and the city, as well. You'll walk past one of the only wineries in Frankfurt, as well as an apple farm.... More
