When we visited in August, this was undergoing repairs and so some parts of this site were closed. I am sure it must be worthwhile when in operation. You can climb up the monument for a fee and climb down the side of the water...More

I studied King Herkules whenI was young, and now I saw his stature. It was under construction for many years but we had a good time.

Unfortunately when we visited the whole building was undergoing massive Restoration so nothing was really accessible nor could you really see it all very well. Impressive, bit pompous but that is the style of the whole area.

Visited this place many years ago. Impressed! Impressed this time too. Just a little disturbed by renovation work and cranes. The statue and the whole park are huge.

During my walk at the park I decided to buy a ticket and get on top of the monument. The view was very satisfying.

The construction progress sign as you approach from the parking lot showed a timeline where restoration is complete by 2011... Fast forward to 2018 and I counted 6+ cranes and scaffolding over 2/3s of everything to look at. The statue, the fountains, the waterfalls, the...More

No stroller way down by the water, but do check when the water will be on. I think it is Wednesday and Saturday. Better still look at the top and then catch the free bus to the bottom.
