The first place we came across was a lovely wine shop where we could taste the fabulous wines of the area. Our guide through these wines was knowledgeable and friendly. We wandered on to find a lovely restaurant owned by the same family. Amazing village feel

As you walk through Rudesheim by the river you arrive at Drosselgasse, which is a narrow street leading up from the river. It is lined with bars, restaurants and interesting shops, one of which is Darwens Daughter, which has lots of quirky clothes and souvenirs.

An excellent place to visit. Wonder views. Located in between miles of vineyards with the greatest restaurants and friendliest people. And some fantastic world class wines. Even and great assortment of alcohol free wines.

Another narrow cobbled street with interesting period buildings, cafes/bars and tourists shops, it would be easy to go ho hum after being to several but we didn't ended doing our favourite thing sitting at a busy intersection having a drink and watching the world go by. A must do is the Rudesheim coffee.

We were here for the Christmas Market in December on a Viking River cruise. Rudesheim is a darling little town with cobblestone streets and connect into each other. The Christmas Market just kept going among all the shops and cafes. It is beautiful at night when it is all lit up. The Drosselgosse is the perfect place for a Christmas Market. Loved the variety of stalls and food. The Kathe Wolfarft Christmas store was really fun and expensive!

The street is very picturesque, with many cafes and restaurants and some other shops. Great for photos, however staff in some shops turned the experience not so great. Telling us to buy something or get out isn’t a great way to treat tourists. One shop even had a sign up in the shop window saying they don’t want ghost ships with zombie passengers that just walk around and don’t spend money! Spoiled a nice morning.

This street in Rudesheim is only two metres wide and boat-owners would haul their equipment and goods from the riverside up to the old town.

These days its a quaint street very popular with tourists and lined with half-timber houses covered in vines, souvenir shops, bars and restaurants.

Lovely street well worth visiting.
