A fantastic place to visit. One of the only places that is left from before the war - the only church out of the 3 in Germany. If you come from the port you can have guided tours in English.

The best interior of numerous similar sacral structures in this part of Germany. Don't get repelled by yet-another-kirche facade and explore the interior in detail. Especially the astrological clock.

This is a beautiful 13th-century church with soaring columns, interesting statuary, beautiful stained glass windows, carved pulpit, and a magnificent organ. Rest your bags and coats and enjoy an hour here to capture the beauties of Rostock's largest church dating back to 1230 wit its rich furnishings to include the astronomical clock, apostle procession (1472) together with the bronze baptismal font (1290)

This church is worth a visit if only to see the astrological clock and the gravestones with names of the deceased crossed out when they are re-used!

Rostock has an amazing church, St Marien Church dating back to 1230 which houses an astronomical clock built in 1472. The clock and charts were mesmerizing, as was a replica boat hanging from the ceiling.
