Shame that we don´t have a museum like this one in Berlin.Set in an old abbey there are not just beautiful,well displayed ancient objects to look at ,there are room settings to give you a feeling of past times.

This museum hads extensive displays about life in Stralsund going back many thousands of years to iron age times. I particularly liked the recreated rooms showing typical life of the time.

Though this is not the top attraction in beautiful hanseatic Stralsund, it is definitely a must see, if only for the Hiddensee Gold treasury, an amazing piece of work.
