We visited the lighthouse during our walk around the town of Warnemunde. It costs 2 euro to climb the tower and it has a great view of the beach and the channnel into the port. It is worth a visit.

We visited Warnemunde as part of a Baltic cruise, this is a very popular stop to access Berlin which we did not want to do. But we're glad we took the time to explore. It is a quaint spot, not particularly big but has a...More

The lighthouse is on the sea edge of Warnemunde and is also at the end of a promenade which runs adjacent to the lovely sandy beach. There are cafes and gift shops beside it as well. You can go up the lighthouse for a small...More

Well, this was our first stop on our NCL Baltic cruise and most had recommended a tour to Berlin. Since it was a three hour train ride each way and then they bus you around Berlin, well that's not for us. We were so happy...More

We had heard of this interesting lighthouse. We were not sure its exact location but the young woman in the tourist information bureau was very helpful. It is certainly not your usual coastal lighthouse. It is an attractive building with an interesting story. If you...More

Leuchtturm is situated right by the beach in Warnemunde. There is a very modest fee to go up the tower. The climb up a spiral staircase is not too difficult. You can choose to either go up to the mid point or all the way...More

We were dis-engorged from our cruise ship into this tiny town with an option to pay for a day trip to Berlin, Rostock or stay put in Warnemunde. We opted for a slow-paced lazy day exploring the seaside resort town and it's shops. Some might...More

while the majority of my travel group went to Berlin, a friend & I walked around the town and into the old church. ultimately we came to the lighthouse. She ventured the climb upward to 360* view city and port. I shopped.

If you are arriving from the train station or cruise ship, the old lighthouse is an excellent visual landmark. If you walk toward it, you pass old town, marinas, the beach and numerous restaurants, bars and shops. A very pleasant walk on a beautiful day.
