Our ship was in port here for the day .The town is a lovely fishing port with heaps of shops for fashion and foodies. The beach was clean and you could hire little chair/huts for the day or hourly. The scenery is tranquil. Plentyful cafes and hotels in the area, you need to spend at least 2 days there to enjoy.

Even off season a nice place for a walk... Long Sandy beach, perfect for any water based activities in summer. In the cold days, walk before heading back into town for some heat.

Beautiful Friendly Coastal Community. Hooked up on a train from Berlin. This is a weekend resort for the locals from Berlin so be prepared for a very crowded train ride to the coast. May suggest taking a train outside of the peak times, and days. Once there the city. very quiet and calming. Enjoy a stroll around town or sunny... More

It was nice warm weather when we were there and there were plenty of people enjoying this very nice very clean wild beach. This beach is popular with German families along the Eastern part. If you move further West it becomes a topless beach and many were sunbathing. As with many European beaches there are uniquely European beach chairs for... More

This is a nice sandy beach. It has white sand and stretches for about 15 kilometres. It’s width is about 75 metres of sand up to the point where it meets the sea. The weather was not good and quite windy when I visited – so I did not venture into the water. According to the locals, the beach is... More

We really liked this extended beach. Nice sand, water cold, but refreshing! There are chairs you can rent. The public washrooms are 50 cent euro and some are staffed. There are beach toys, kites you can buy at a kiosk. This beach in our opinion is the best part of this city. A view of this beach is best observed... More

Warnemunde is Germanys’ entry into the Baltic and it’s also a haven for holiday makers. We walked through the very picturesque town to a most wonderful beach with many folk swimming and sunbathing in the very soft sand - at 25c why not. The shops, esplanades and general atmosphere reminded me of a Sydney beachside town... Some fabulous looking lounges,... More

Cruise port stop for smaller cruise ships, took bus to town on really pretty day and it was a Saturday, so everyone was out, Beach has amenities. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, if you want a quieter part of the beach you go to the far end, but less services.

Well this was my first time to the Baltic Sea and it was amazing. I took a bus from Berlin and in almost couple of hours I was at the sea. The beach is amazing but with a lot of rocks and shells, so walking barefoot can be a bit tiresome if you are in habit of walking on clearer... More
