We visited Aachen Cathedral on December 1, 2017. The cathedral is very nice inside. From outside it looks very big. The Christmas market around it enhanced its charm like being in medieval times..

He castle was visited as we were in town for a meal. It was very beautiful with a deep German history (King Barbarossa had a throne there). The stained glass windows are beautiful!

Real mix of architectural styles but really impressive. Byzantine part (Charlemagne era) particularly impressive. I do not know the answer to this but there is an information centre at the Dom dedicated to providing customer service and from where you buy tickets for the guided tours. They would locatable on Google and could answer... More

The stained glasses in the choir was build in between 1949-51 and the windows in the west 1979-80 !

Hello , it will not work due to limited time , even by driving over speed limits and train is not a solution even with better time options.
