Even for a non-religious person like myself, I can still really appreciate the beauty of places like this. They're always good for a visit so one can learn about the history and cultural makeup of the city around them. I've often read how churches throughout Europe attract more tourism than congregation, and I don't doubt it a bit. This church... More

Some lovely stained glass windows, we were particularly drawn to the ones that were in Black & White. Lots to see but really felt like a place where we could sit and reflect for a long time, in addition to perusing the wonderful artworks.

Worth a visit and tour while you're visiting Bonn. The history of this building will amaze you. It is centrally located in Munsterplatz and easily accessible.

This cathedral was parcially destroyd in the WW II, but it was recovered and is a beatifull monument for the faith. Quit, calm, and pacefull place to pray and for meditation. Just in Bon dawntown.

Outstanding Romanesque Church! The Bonn Minster (German: Bonner Münster) is a Roman Catholic church in Bonn. It is one of Germany's oldest churches, having been built between the 11th and 13th centuries.

The church is not a cathedral, but it merits cathedral status! It is an outstanding Romanesque building internally and externally. It is surprisingly little-known gem. I did not know of it previously, but valued its architectural unity. Not a Cologne cathedral, but in some ways better!

Beautiful building especially when the setting sun shines on its sandstone walks. Need to walk around it and look inside to really appreciate the architecture and its sublime holiness

Probably one of the most visited places in Bonn, the Münster is one of the oldest structures in the city. Both its exterior and interior design is pretty. The church got old statues and paintings too. The crypt under the main altar is a sacred place for Catholics and is open for prayer. Tourists may visit it as well but... More

Long time ago (3rd century) two christian guys, the roman soldiers Cassius and Florentius, came to Bonn and tried to tell the people about Jesus. They had not been quiet successful: Their heads were chopped off! You can see them bigger than live (2002 by Iskender Yediler) on the place behind the cathedral. Their bones (found 1166) are stored in... More
