We went because we needed to walk somewhere and I found this place. There were awesome trails. We were there for two hours and we just walked and we looked at the animals. I would go there again. I recommend this for people who like to walk

We enjoyed our morning walking in the forest along well maintained pathways. There was plenty of parking and also a bus stop, so reachable by public transport. The animals (boar, red deer and fallow deer) were held in lovely, large and natural enclosures. The pathways around the forest were well maintained and, despite the winter weather, easy to walk in... Nature awaits here and offers some nice walks in the woods on paths. Animals are held in wide areas, you even might buy some food for them, especially nice for kids. I really like it there though you need to be aware there will be always other people so no real privacy.

It's a nice place to go to on a sunny day. Especially around spring when there are baby animals. It is in the woods but still within city limits, so easy to reach even with public transportation. So it's not a fancy zoo, but the extensive paths through the woods are well placed, everything is well maintained and the small enclosures of animals are the exactly right size. Go there for a calming, nice Sunday afternoon.

Animals wander in wide open spaces. You can come close or watch from far away. Long walk from the entrance, some slight inclines.

The Venusberg wildlife park "Waldau" is reachable by bus or car. It is especially recommended for families with children between 1 and 8 years of age. This park help you and children to observe wild animals' lives in nature. Also there is a small museum to educate the kids. My son's favorite was bees 😉

The park is not very big, but you can still easily spend a few hours walking around there. There are a few trails going through the woods, with many interesting sights along them.
