The main technical museum is in Munich, and is well-worth seeing. Visiting Bonn, I paid a visit to the outpost of the museum and was very impressed. The range of topics covered is excellent, and explanations are given in English and German. The area is spotless, and lots of collapsible seating is provided so you can sit and read the... More

Very clean and sleek. I especially liked the science and engineering presentations. High quality and informative. Be prepared for at least 2 hours to see everything. Like other areas in Germany folks with access issues may want to pass on this due to stairs and lots of walking, but overall very nice museum to pass a rainy day away and... More

The museum (opened in 1995) is rather small and has not got any impressive exhibits that you would expect in the "German Museum". I think you should go to the "Deutsches Museum" in Munich or the Science Museum in London if you are interested in science and technology. Recently they have been discussing to close the museum, because the city... More

Modern, high tech, bright, well designed. But hard for non-tech visitors. Labels are in German and English but very technical, not easy to understand. Pride of German tech. Not oriented to average visitors.

We visited the Deutsches Museum in Munich, so in terms of size there is a vast difference. We enjoyed this one, but were done in about 2 hours. I think if you had children, they would enjoy through Munich museum much more. The vast majority of exhibits in this museum can only be appreciated by reading panels (in German or... More

This is a spectacular museum. Maybe not as high tech and big as the Smithsonian Museum of Air and Space, but still has some interesting exhibits and concepts. Quite a bit of exposition on German scientists who worked with NASA on the space program. Worth visiting particularly if you are en-route to Freizeitpark.

Well worth your time while visiting other Bonn located museums in that same neighborhood. Scientifically presented in a way that shows great German ingenuity and skill in presentation. Make a stop, here, too....

I visited this museum with my grandmother. It was the most expensive museum I visited in Bonn but I wasn't boring. It's an interactive science museum. It was the last museum I visited in Bonn because I was the farthest one in the city that I visited. Bonn is a small city but the museums are spread out so you... More

As a woman in a STEM field I would like to share my enthusiasm for science with my two daughters. There were almost no female role models available in this museum. No women inventors or discoverers were mentioned. The scientist cartoons depicted scientists as male without exception. Even the inspirational quotes all came from men. As a programmer, I work...
