Loved strolling by the Rhine! Lots of restaurants and bars, and people. Well-kept. Plenty of architectural interest, too.

Magical area at Christmas with the large wheel and shop designed Christmas stalls, not to crushed. There is a great view over the Rhine next to the promenade and great architecture of the nearby buildings
Great place for a couple of pictures, you can have a nice walk. There are awesome trees, they appear to be upside down. In the winter there is not much to do though, maybe in spring and summer there are restaurants and lots of people...More

I love this part of Dusseldorf. The views are superb and watching the cargo ships navigating around the bends is fascinating. There are plenty of places to eat and drink along the promenade and I thoroughly recommend it.
On one side is the Rhine and on the other the lovely Altstadt with it's many restaurants. A lovely stroll, particularly if the weather is nice.
A lovely walk by the Rhine, observing the river barge traffic under grey skies. On the far bank we could see sheep on the flood plain. The sound of motor traffic in the distance. Many places to stop for a drink.
