Altstadt has a perfect location, adjacent to the Rhine "river" and a short ride/walk to the famous boulevard "Konigsallee" We had dinner there and has very famous cloth stores e.g. H&M This area is rich with medieval history and architectures. Amazing amazing

What is there not to like about Düsseldorf Altsradt? The Germans are not great fun- lovers: but like it or hate it, the Altstadt is a fun place in a bit of a wilderness of its local area! The old town is buzzing it lively yet quaint with lots of choice in shopping and places to eat.. to suit everyone ..along the river Rhine you can watch the world go by Great atmosphere!

Loads of bars & restaurants all in a small space. Loads of variety and much fun to be had. Some great pubs and a really friendly local vibe.

I'm a regular visitor to Dusseldorf and I have to say that I love it, everything about it. I love the fact that everything is so close-by; that once you're through passport control there's a ride on the Sky Train to the railway station and then a short ride of around 15-20 minutes to the central station. Our hotel was a pleasant 15 min walk away along the river. The town was buzzing as the Metro marathon was taking place and we were caught up in that and there was so many people. Visited dusseldorf with family and decided to wander round the alt statd to find somewhere for brunch!! It's a lovely area of the city with beautiful buildings, lots of interesting shops and numerous cafes and restaurants!! Well worth a visit especially if you end up in one of the restaurant/bars on the riverside!! Very relaxing just sitting watching the world... More
