Really nice and tasty empanadas. Nice relaxed cafe vibe. Friendly staff. Democratic prices. Nice Rhine view. What more would you want?

As I see it, there are two ways to evaluate this small museum, one as an architectural space and the other as a display of art. For the former, I give it high marks, and it's worth seeing it just for that. For the latter, I am personally not into contemporary art, but I wouldn't tell people not to go just because it didn't speak to me. If that's your scene, then go for it. Nice reasonably priced cafe on ground level, museum is underground, entered from the cafe. Can knock it off quickly. I combined this museum with a walk to the Frank Gerhy architecture located a few minutes away, and would recommend this to all. We skipped the Rheinturm, which is very close, due to inclement weather, but on a nice day one can easily do all three in a relatively short period of time.

I frankly do not understand some of the lower ratings of the K.I.T. The fact that someone thought of reconverting a disused tunnel to a museum is very nice of itself. The small museum provides an area for less known artists to present their work. Enter through the cafe, and go down the stairs with an open mind to enjoy the art...and its setting.

The idea, or at least the name, of a contemporary art museum in a 'tunnel' drew my curiosity, but a visit here proved to be a little disappointing. First, the size of the museum is, and feels, very small. The exhibition on display at the time of my visit was, sorry to say, not very interesting as well. There is a café at the top which I didn't try but looks quite affordable and appetizing. I'm glad I had a Düsseldorf Card so I didn't have to pay the entrance fee. My visit took not more than 30 mins. Overall, sadly not the best and most inspiring contemporary art museum I've visited.

An underground contemporary art museum, with a 4 euro admission fee. I felt the space was interesting and although it only took us a short time to explore it I thought it was worth the admission price.

Totally not worth the money. Please spend your money in the bar above instead of experiencing a joke in a tunnel!

I read on the internet about the concept and was quite excited to visit this museum. Kunst im Tunnel is an underground museum in a tunnel to present and promote young contemporary artists.
My first impression was interesting, but I realized after having a look at some artwork that was finished. In this exhibition there were one moto, one small pool and perhaps 15 artworks. What a joke. And you pay some euros for that.
I was very disappointed!!!! Should avoid it.

This is very small museum under the tunnel. But fact is its not actually a tunnel. You can not pass through it like other famous tunnels as you have seen in Antwerp or Hamburg. Basically its a V shaped basement which was hosting below average modern art. There was nothing that makes worth visiting this place and you have to pay fee for this too. Staff was nice.

Go to drink a coffee or something like that, because it is quiet and the view to the river is very good. The wi-Fi was insufficient, so we didn't stay long. No need to pay to go down to the tunnel. I rate this collection poor
