I booked a Royal Palaces tour, which was about 3 hours total. I didn't get off at the Blue Bridge, or at Pillnitz Castle. The boat was absolutely packed. Many, many elderly and infirm which is great, but it took an age to get us...More

We were disappointed by our 1 1/2 hour paddle steamer cruise along the Elbe. At 28 euros per person, this is not inexpensive and for the first 37 minutes there was no narration -- probably because there was so little to see, but perhaps a...More

That is not true. The water ride (duration 90 min.) cost 18.50 € per person. The route explanation begins with the start of the ship and is controlled by a GPS signal, so that in the appropriate places also information about the history and the...More

Wonderful historic paddle steamers cruising the Elbe in timeless fashion. Great food, service, and very reasonable prices. My 2nd trip, and just as enjoyable.

In the off-season there are very few trips. I took a Sunday morning Dresden trip, up to the Blue Wonder bridge and back. Pleasant environment, table service for beer and snacks and a good English commentary

Nice trip across the river Elbe. Check the hours of the different ships. Not all ships are powered by steam. Check in advance the pier of departure; they often change at the last moment.
