About
The Military History Museum in Dresden consists of two parts: an arsenal that was built in 1877 and a new extension designed by U.S. architect Daniel Libeskind and completed in 2011. Shaped like a wedge, the extension cuts through the old arsenal...more

This museum is more about history than being a display of weapons. In fact, weapons are a minor part of it. There is a lot more art and explanation of what got the Germans into various wars over the last 800 years. It is also...More

The military museum is in its way interesting to visit but I don not feel that it gives you the insight in military history as its name suggests.

Beautifully designed world class museum. You need a minimum of 4 hours to look at all the exhibits. If you were to read all the information you would probably need to spend several days here. The range of exhibits is fantastic covering every facet of conflict

We visited on a hot August day. The museum is on 4 floors, very well laid out, light, airy and cool. The exhibits are great and you can follow pre 1914, 1914-1945, post 45/Cold War/NATO times. They are well presented, modern and very objective, often...More

The largest military museum in Germany is a testament against war. Make sure you take the audio which is free of charge. It becomes impossible to read everything after awhile. This is not something I would seek out, and went at my husband's insistence. Very...More
