This is the central square of the old town of Dresden. Almost all of the buildings here are newly built, and you can that they really tried to to rebuild the square after how it looked before the war. Very well made, and the church in the centre is very beautiful. A lot of restaurants and stores are nearby and... More

Neumarkt is an attractive, historic public square where you will find interesting attractions, places to eat and hotels. This square is a centrally located and a place you will most likely pass through during visits to Dresden. I very much enjoyed Frauenkirche, the beautiful Baroque style church located in the center of Neumarkt. There is a statue of Martin Luther... More

Nice place to look around. Not only the buildings surrounding it but the stores. A very large variety of stores to choose from.

We visited the Neumarkt during the Christmas Market season. It was filled with vendors and food. We visited this location multiple times as it was close to the other Markets and a good break from the crowds. Was truly a magical and great Christmas experience.

Strizelmarkt at Altmarkt is the famous Christmas Market in Dresden. However, just a couple minutes away at Neumarkt, there is another Xmas market called Advent on the Neumarkt which takes place from 25 Nov to 24 Dec each year. Market open from 10am to 10pm daily. We visited this market a couple times during our visit to Dresden and quite... More

The Neumarkt in Dresden is a central and culturally significant section of the Dresden inner city. The historic area was almost completely wiped out during the Allied bomb attack during the Second World War. After the war Dresden fell under Soviet occupation and later the communist German Democratic Republic who rebuilt the Neumarkt area in socialist realist style and partially... More

Neumarkt, the giant square in the middle of the old city attracts plenty of activity. With the Martin Luther memorial against the background of Dresden Frauenkirche, plenty of people passes through here both locals and visitors alike. Neumarkt is the city’s main square and as with every city’s main square, it’s the heart of activity. There’s always something interesting to encounter,... More
