The square may not be very interesting in general, but in December there is the christmas market with thematic highligts. (Tirol market and scandinavian market this year). And you can find an amusement park for kids too; but only till Dec 23rd.

The square itself is not specially charming but it is bordered by a number of interesting buildings and therefore an almost obligate addition to any circuit in the center of town. A good part of it is pedestrian.

This is a beautiful open square. You can see nice buildings like the Opera house, concert hall and the University of Leipzig. It is part of the city center and within walking distance to the Market square, main shopping area and many other attractions.

It's quite the artistic and aesthetically pleasing plaza. Would recommend anyone to go there and have a nice time, also near many shops.

Probably the biggest square in town. Interesting with some old and new unique buildings. Easy to reach from the pedestrian zone. Trams are also passing by

Beautiful square with the opera house as its focal point. Immediately in front a lovely fountain so relaxing to sit there while waiting for a performance or tram---the tram stop is right there so convenient --the Hauptbahnhof is just a short ride away.
