The old town center or Lubeck is a great place to walk around. Lots of old building beautifully maintained. Walk around, shop and have a coffee.

This is a charming city with a lot to see, just walking around. It is, in fact, an island. The city goes back to the 11th century and had very little world war two bombing damage. There is no old town, as such, but it...More

Places to see include the many churches, Holy Ghost Hospital, Niederegger Museum, Holsten Tor Museum. Get an overview of the city from the tower of St. Peter's Church.

The power of trade built this city in the high middle ages. We enjoyed the museus and brick buildings, churches, & convents. The 7 church spires of the sky line reach toward heaven, but also make you feel small compared to God.

Not the most interesting old town we've visited, but the architecture is very beautiful and there's cafes and souvenir stores etc.

The city of seven towers - you should go and see them all. Natural brick church towers, well preserved. In this medieval town, modern facilities, shops and restaurants are well located and designed in a way that they match the town style making this place...More

The old town is certainly worth time perusing. The brick architecture is different to other old medieval towns that I am familiar with and the atmosphere was added to by the markets and the music. The standard of the buskers was superb. Many were professional...More

Lübeck surprised us in many ways. Absolutely beautiful town and much bigger than thought it would be. Lots of restaurants, cafes and things to see and do. Also great for shopping, great choice of shops. Defiantly would go back to explore more!

There were a lot of old buildings and historical spots. Much more interesting to me than Hamburg. If you like history and old buildings, you'll love Lubeck. And it's only about 10 miles from the Baltic Sea and a beautiful beach. the train goes directly...More

Totally walkable. Turn left, keep going and you will see the bridge and the two tubby towers. Pick up a map at the information centre on the right before the towers.

Hi, Yes, the streets are walkable using a walker with wheels. There may be areas of cobble stones but there are more smooth streets than not. It is a great city to visit and check out the marzipan store to look at all the... More
