The huge park is absolutely worth a visit. And the greenhouse is a must-see, too. The entry fee is 2,50 per person. The park is free, you just have to pay to park your car.

This is described as one of the world’s finest baroque palaces. Built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy, conqueror of the Turks in 1718. Extensive gardens with water features are well worth a visit

My first ever visit to a castle. Absolutely everything I imagined it would be and more. Very close to where we were staying. Beautiful artwork, very helpful staff, wonderful gardens. I will certainly be back in the next couple of years to spend more time...More

Beautiful castle build in the beginning of 1700 now listed on UNESCO world heritage. Gigantic castle park to stroll around with statues and flowers. Well worth a visit.

The chateau is easily reached from Weimar by bike or by car. We cycled there in about 20 minutes. It is nicely renovated and well worth a visit. The surrounding park is well kept and the famous Orangerie features palms, orange trees, oleander and other...More

Duke Ernst August of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach had a Baroque summer residence including an orangery, pleasure garden and labyrinth built here between 1724 and 1748. During the winter months Schloss Belvedere's main buildings are not open to the public. However, the extensive gardens (43 acres of parkland)...More

This could be a nice museum, but at present works are done. The orangerie (and garden) is nice, but the Chateau itself is pretty outdated. It is nice to see, but not really a must see in Weimar.

The summer palace is an amazing building which houses the china and glass collections rather than be furnished as it would have appeared at the time when it was a royal residence. The orangerie is staggering in its size and the gardens interesting.

We have not been inside, as we visited the Schloss Schönbrunn, Hofburg and Kunsthistorisches Museum already, so we have just walked around in the front- and back garden of the palace, which we enjoyed. You have a nice view over the city from the backside...More
