We were a little disappointed at the size of this museum, whose exhibits are all cramped into a single large gallery. There were only a few paintings (a couple by Feininger, once by Kandinsky, one by Klee) and somewhat more prints and sculptures. Perhaps most...More

This is a small but very good collection of artefacts, photos and posters of this movement in architecture and interior design. I was very happy to see the cradle that featured in Neil McGregor's series "Germany, memories of a nation".

i'm sure the new museum will be a big improvement on this endeavour. but the current establishment is somewhat uninspired and very constrained. too many other things to see in Weimar to stop here i'm afraid.

Bauhaus was not only an architectural style but an entire movement. After visiting the museum I'm in awe with my newly gained knowledge.

I love the whole notion of the Bauhaus design story. There were a few items to see and stories to read but it was small and I think there are better Bauhaus museums elsewhere. It was an interesting enough short stop in the old town...More
