We live about an hour away, and this is an area we love to bring visitors. The small coastal resorts are all different and offer superb beaches, some naturist. All the year there is something to see and do here.

We were on a small trip in the Cabo de gata. The biggest advantage of the beach is that there are miles of empty space, so you can have the beach for yourself.

Gado-gado is a natural part with probably some of the best beaches in Spain. It is all protected and fishing is not allowed so one of the best entertainment is to scuba-dive or even snorkelling you can contemplate all

This is one of the must visits in the Almeria region. Stunning views and natural beauty and is of course the most south-easterly point in mainland Spain. Well worth the drive.

We only had a short time to see this attraction but well worth whilst seeing a variety of birds. It was a great help to go with a couple with a villa a few miles up the road and who knew the interesting spots, one...More

I am assuming the cruise ship docks in Almeria? My advice would be to hire a car and drive to the National Park. The roads are good and it is a 40 - 45 minute drive. The views are stunning. Depending on the time available... More

You can find the best hiking trail on the web, on wikilok. You can select hiking/biking/ or whatever you want to do. On the web page of the park you can also find the trail. I agree that you can start from San Jose, it is... More
