This is a very old monument. It was used to load the boats with some minerals using a train on the top of it. It was designed by members of the Eiffel school.

This is an amazing structure, designed by Eiffel, but it is a shame that there are no information boards with the history of it. We had to look things up on line. Also we read you should view it in the dark as it is...More

Our walk to the Cable Ingles was rewarded with an awesome view of outdated tracks once intended to unload large ships at the shore. It is a monstrosity. Unfortunately we did not see any plaque indicating historical info. That was disappointing.

Huge structure, being the remain of former miners times. Today, looking at beautiful landscape, the blue see and white beaches, It is hard to imagine, that the region was full of mines, that there was this kind of industry. Well; times change..

We went online to discover what this odd structure is. Given that it's an important piece of Almeria's history, it's a shame that there is no info point.

Very interesting structure, read about it on line before you check it out, we did not see any information about the structure posted around the area.

Interesting that Eiffel designed this structure but not really much to oggle at! It is near the bus and train station but not worth making a special visit to it in my opinion

We had no idea what this structure was , there should be some kind of plaque to say it was built by the scotts it was interesting.

I feel mean giving this an average score but it's something you look at and move on. I'm proud that it was built by the British but it's a loading dock. All be-it a rather splendid one.

It might be me but I thought it a rather unattractive hunk of metal. Engineers may appreciate it a lot more than I though.
