Well worth a visit and don't be put off by the 173 steps to the top. I am 77 and not very fit but easily managed the stairs - there are two halls on the way up where you can catch your breath and look at the exhibits.

This tower is well worth a visit. The camera obscura will delight young and old alike. The commentary from the guide is in both English and Spanish and was brilliantly informative. There are very few of these in the world and it should definitely be part of a childs education!

This tower costs about 6 euros to enter and opens about 10 AM. The views of the city from the top are quite nice but now you have to climb 130 steps to reach the top. It is not easy to find so be sure to have a good city map.

No lifts right now so you have to climb quite a few steps to get to the roof........but it's worth the climb!. 6 euros to get in but worth it. Camera obscurer was fascinating where we got a 360 degree of the whole of the old town.....we were able to receive an English commentary.

Worth climb to the top, by stair, to see spectacular views of the city. Was one of many watchtowers built in the city, to keep watch for pirates during the 18th century. Also houses a camera obscura, where you are given a live view of the city. We arrived as it was opening at 10am, only 6 of us at... More

We really could not find it at first as it is in a small street off a small street but eventually we found it. Nothing too much, stair climbing maybe not so good for the unfit and nothing too impressive

It had been raining ever since we arrived in Cadiz two days before our visit to the Torre Tavira, so the camera obscura was not working. That didn't detract from the fantastic view to be had from the top of the tower, and we were lucky in that it had just about stopped raining by then. We had a nice... More

This tower was recommend to us already in our hotel as something kid friendly to do in Cadiz - and it was well worth the visit. On the way up tower there was a small table with colouring things, interesting information about the city of Cádiz and already a peep of the view awaiting us in the magic mirror room.... More

A great place to take in spectacular 360° views of the city. Very interesting and on the whole well worth the admission fee.
