"Beauty is only skin deep" - Lovely setting; poor experience
Feb. 2018 • Solo
The Escuela is a stunning setting. For any rider, it would be a dream to ride there - or at least that's what I thought before I did. For months, I anticipated my lesson at the Escuela. I imagined I would get a well schooled dressage horse- not high level, but at least medium (level 2). I went to the school and gave my background when making the reservation. Rather than a dressage horse, I was given an old school horse that was not sound - she could only go in one direction. Her gates were not comfortable at all. I asked if she could do lateral work and was told she could not. I went back the next day to express my great disappointment. I was told the owner was not present and the coach was suddenly busy. I made an appointment to meet with owner the following Monday at 10. I arrived but he was not there. I spoke with an English woman explaining what happened and how disappointed I was. She told me they do not currently have any dressage horses for lessons. Why, I asked, would they not have told me that! I paid 80 Euros to ride a horse that is not sound and is certainly far less able than my own horses. I left my email address and asked the owner to get in touch with me. He did not. I would say, go to see the physical setting, but don't plan on riding yourself.

Very professional, beautiful horses, but also very expensive!

It is a beautiful place and everything is top, but it also is very expensive to ride there or have lessons.

AVOID THE RESTAURANT
Aug. 2017 • Friends
We had visited this Equestrian School for the first time and we were very impressed with the facilities. We paid €35 for a ticket to see the equestrian show and it was worth every penny.
We thought it would be a great idea to enjoy our wait in the restaurant and we were greeted by the School's manger who showed us the venue and made us feel welcome.
After we sat at a table in the restaurant everything went wrong. It took 20 minutes for the starter to be served (sheep's sliced cheese) and it came "together with" one of the mains. We complained to the waiter who kindly apologised blaming it on the busy night (there was a large group of people to be served). Five minutes later another waiter comes to the table saying the second mains was not available anymore. So we asked for the first mains (that was getting cold) to be taken back and we ordered two different mains.
When the meal finally arrives mine still had signs of being partially defrosted.
We were never offered anything complementary for the right mess that they had caused and we had to pay for the bill in full. It is clear that this restaurant does not want these customers back.

My wife is an enthusiastic rider . . .
Feb. 2016 • Couples
so, despite the fact that I refuse to get on a horse ever, we visit this excellent equestrian facility at least twice every time we are in the area.

The school is extensive, immaculate and generally a great place to visit. My wife assures me that the tuition is of the highest standard and provides excellent value for money, in a very good indoor school. There's great spectator seating for the non-rider such as me and a lovely bar, with outside seating for a coffee, snack or drink when I get utterly bored!

The merchandise on sale at reception is of the highest quality at very reasonable prices and my wife now boasts several branded polo shirts and other riding paraphernalia.

Parking is extensive and very well laid out and, whilst It's not the easiest of places to find initially, once you've been as often as we have, it's relatively straightforward.

This is a very highly recommended visit for the holidaying equestrian enthusiast who can't bear to be away from horses for any protracted period of time. It really is a very impressive school.

An interesting place to visit.
May 2016 • Couples
There is a magnificent show once or twice a year but you can visit on a Saturday and see people having riding lessons or schooling their horses and even see the little ones doing acrobatics on their ponies. Very interesting place, with a bar and restaurant. Makes an unusual and interesting day out .

A Nice Experience
Oct. 2015
I visited with my family and we had lunch in the restaurant, it was very good food, and good value for money. Myself and my 12 year old took our riding gear with us on the off chance that we might have been able to ride, a young girl at reception took our booking, but no questions were asked about our height, weight or experience. We went in the beautiful indoor arena to ride, I was given a beginner's Horse , and size wise, I felt I was border line to ride her, I really needed something a bit bigger. My daughter had a very strong pony, after a while the instructor, who was a lovely young Spanish lady said if they had known I could ride they would have given me a different Horse, I'm not complaining, the mare was very sweet, but the teaching staff should chat with the clients before booking them in.
It was expensive, but a nice one off holiday experience for us, and I have never seen a riding facility as superb as that.

Do you love horses?
Oct. 2015 • Family
This state of the art stables is magnificent. Set in a quiet location surrounded by beautifully kept grounds, with first class facilites for both horse and rider. There is a restaurant in front of the exercise areas, where most days you can enjoy watching the riders and their horses training, especially the dressage.

The best equestrian facility on the costa del sol. Kids love the pony club thanks to the wonderful Julia. & karen . If you love horses come to one of the national show jumping events. The restaurants are open & there's horsey shopping to be done & some great talent to watch. A great day out

Fantastic facilites, great riding school
Jul. 2014 • Family
We took children for riding lessons two summers in a row - great instructors, well groomed and well trained ponies, boots and hats available and a covered outdoor school. We watched them progress really quickly, very impressive. The grounds and the covered school are amongst the best I have experienced.

A hidden gem for novice riders and expierienced ones as well
Aug. 2014 • Family
Found this little gem whilst trying to find a taster sessions for horse riding for my two girls aged 10 and 6. Did email them my query but did not receive an answer, so rang instead and spoke to a helpful lady. You have a choice of private lessons or group lessons. For group lessons it is 34 euros including boots and hats for 45 mins actual lessons plus the 15-20 min to get the kit on and basic instructions how to hold the reigns etc. This place oozes money and if you are keen on horseriding you will love it. The lady that took our lesson was very good and encouraged the children to do well and gave them pointers. The lesson is on a large area which is half covered and half in the sun, we went for an early slot as didn't want to get burnt in the searing heat. This might be a very expensive hobby now but the girls loved it.
