This exotic garden with many tropic plants, Malaga has a climate who is mild in winter and a very good atmosphere for exotic plants; plenty of shady benchs if you fancy a break, nice fountains, I marvel at the enorm rubber trees of ten meters, we have them only as a little plant in our room.

This is potentially a lovely garden to visit and has been in the past but now needs some money spent on maintenance, new planting and labelling of plants. There are lots of interesting trees and it's a nice situation and pleasant to walk round even so. There is a lovely cafe there too for drinks and snacks. The local bus... More

Firstly, ignore google maps when it tells you it's a 30 minute walk from the bus stop! Take bus 2 (1.3 euros) to the final stop next to the Peugeot garage. Walk to the left and proceed up the hill for 15 mins. The pavement will turn green, follow that to the entrance. We went in February so there were... More

the garden is great, but not the best I seen, if you have spare day it may be an option for you. it's situated couple of kilometers outside of malaga, to see everying and not be in rush 1,5 h will be enought tikets are not very expensive, for students around 3 euro, adults 5 euro, there is a bus... Unbelievably bad. Broken down paths some very steep. I couldn't believe we had to pay to come in here. No flowers. The person one the pay desk should have seen I was disabled and saved me a journey.

My partner and I have spent this afternoon at the Botanical Gardens and had a quiet relaxing time. We got the mini bus from the front of the railway station and paid 1 euro 30 cents for a half hour journey. The entrance fee was reduced to 2 euro 10 cents as we are retired. Great value. Apparently this is the only Botanical Garden in Europe that is free! Our hotel was right beside it and we used it to get to and from the main areas but every morning I would walk around it for some exercise. a complete lap is just over 1Km and it's lovely to see the various plants, trees, colours and hear... While there was a freezing rain in Budapest our experience was muc better, the botanic garden of Malaga, the weather was around 18-20 C, nice trees, flowers, a place to chill out

I try to visit the gardens every time I am in Spain and they never cease to amaze me. Perfect for a relaxing walk and some photography. Tidy, well kept and easy to navigate. Friendly staff and a cute souvenir shop that actually sells some pretty nifty things, I usually get herb sachets or essential oils.
