I am aware that people go to markets to buy things. I would suggest taking a good look at the building itself, though - especially from the back. Worth it.

It is full of stalls selling very well presented fresh meat, fish, fruit and veg. If you actually want to buy such things then definitely worth a visit. Not worth a special trip here just to mooch about clogging up the place though because it must get very busy at peak times.

This wonderful market showcases the best of veg and fruit from all over Spain & the world, and I found it by chance, walking in from my cruise ship. The seasonal little local figs, loose or in neat kilo basket packs, were my purchase of choice but I was tempted by so much! Take a capacious bag & fill it!... More

Fresh fish, fantastic cured meats, the most colorful fruits and vegetables.....a food paradise!!! With bars where you can order food and drinks within the market, this is the place to have fresh fish without a doubt

If you like local ffesh food, where you can also sit down and taste some of it or drink it, then this is must place. If you want a fish you must be here ASAP in the morning. We bought best mandarines ever here.

Have lunch here or buy stuff and cook them yourself but definetely go and interact with vendors. Some tapas stalls at the back were fabulous.
