Just seen some recent reviews of the cemetery. I have been there, albeit a couple of years ago, mainly to see Gerald Brenan's grave, and to look at those of others like the failed insurrectionist, Robert Boyd. Yes. it could do with some TLC, but...More

This site is slightly off the tourist track & to be honest if you have been to some of the "Grand Cemetery" sites around the world - especially South America - you will be disappointed. Lack of funds, (all work done from donations) make this...More

We visited on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to find a service being held in the chapel. English hymns and a vicar from Yorkshire...very welcoming. Don't resent the small entrance fee it helps with the costs of upkeep. The cemetery was appropriated in the...More

The English Cemetery at Malaga is an interesting little place to visit and wonder around with the maps provided. It was built to bury non catholics in Malaga.

Really not worth a visit, especially since they charge a ridiculous entrance fee (€4/person). There are few proper paths and the cemetery is very neglected with mostly broken and/or unreadable headstones and nobody buried there of any note. When we visited much of it was...More

We'd read a bit about the cemetery & it'd been mentioned on a City tour, particularly when we'd been standing in Plaza de la Merced/Picasso Square & standing by the Torrijos Monument there, & being told about a certain, Mr Robert Boyd, ironically the cemetery...More

Looks inviting from the outside, so we decided to wander in. We were there just before it closed, so didn't go in the end. Glad we didn't, really, as we wandered up the steep street next door to get a look over the walls into...More

Well worth the 3 Euros to support the maintenance at this beautiful cemetery. It is a very short walk from the bull ring and they have a map in English.
