The port area of Malaga is a great resort in itself, filled with modern bars and restaurants, mostly with terraces overlooking the marina. There is a beautiful lighthouse, and a lovely beach here too.

Nothing special about the port except the huge big-wheel situated near to the entrance. Good views and good value. For €10 or €6 for concessions you get 3 revolutions and can a good all round vision of the city of Malaga and the mountains which surround the North side of the city. Take your camera.. Well worth a visit.

There isn't a huge amount in the port - but it is well worth a visit while in Malaga, even if you just walk around and don't stop. We entered Malaga from the port and were very impressed by the extensive new building around this area. Well designed modern buildings with interesting archetectural features, nicely planted garden areas and very well kept and clean. It has greatly improved this part of the town.

A great selections of restaurants, with a view. And after dinner, enjoy a walk along the beach on the other side of the peninsula!

The port development is tastefully designed with different levels of interest. Many shops and cafes, if that's your thing and spaces for children and adults to stroll and play. With the gardens across the road this is a first class area of Malaga.
