First time we've stayed in this particular area and its beautiful. Such a difference from the bust hustle and bustle and traffic noise just a few minutes away. The area looks very upmarket and the people who live and work here are obviously proud of it as its well looked after. Buildings being painted or done up, small areas on... More

La Carihuela is the perfect place to wander through the shops, bars and restaurants. Pick up some souvenirs and take it slow.

We really liked La Carihuela. Although quite touristy, it stilll held some of the charm of the original village, with its walking street and Spanish restuarants. The bus service from the main road was excellent. We managed to travel to Mijas Pueblo and La cala de Mijas and Torremolinos Centro from the bus stop outside our hotel.

We loved Carihuela, it's next to the sea and is a charming little village. It's well worth a visit if you are staying nearby. It's a lovely walk from Torremolinos or Bendlemenda, to be honest we will stay here on our next visit to Spain.

Right on the beach loads of shops, cafes & restaurants and it's where the locals go in a weekend as well.
