Alhambra is truly an universal monument. A private guided visit is strongly recommended since you will receive detailed information nor only about the place but also on the history of Spain and Andalusia, understating the blending of Islam and Christian cultures that gave life to this complex. All is wonderfully maintained which contributes to enhance the grandiosity of this marvel.... More

Must see if you like history as much as we do. The only mistake we made is that we allowed the tour agency to plan our trip so se had to spend most of our time on the bus instead of viewing the sites. Anyhow, Alhambra is great historical site with so much astonishing art achievements, history and interesting stories... More

SUMMARY: If you can't buy your tickets online, get to the ticket station way before 7am. The queue was already full at 7am. But if there is no more tickets, I think you should just skip Alhambra and Granada altogether. After reading other's experiences, we decided to head to Alhambra to queue for tickets at 630am. After queueing in the... More

Must not be missed and is enough reason to visit this wonderful City. Takes at least several hours to do justice to the wealth on show here. Don't forget to book your visit to the Nasrid palaces in advance.

It is amazing site, a must see in Granada. The palaces are amazing, the gardens are beautiful and the view to the Albaycin is incredible. We book our ticket one month ahead and they were already sold out in several websites, so we bought the GranadaCard, which was great because already includes entries to other monuments and bus tickets.

We were lucky enough to see The Alhambra with Margarita from Alhambra Tours...she is fantastic. The entire grounds are fabulous to see & the history brings the buildings to life. It is interesting to see many of the " green" (air, water & light) as well as "branding" architectural principles we use today were thought of centuries ago. Truly magnificent!!

After a bit of a confused start when our tour organiser had too many English speaking tourists and had us join a smaller group that had a bilingual Spanish - English guide;our tour got underway. Because we were a smaller group and because our guide Natasha had to explain everything in Spanish and English it gave us the opportunity to... More

The beautiful Alhambra is carefully managed so that numbers admitted are easily accommodated by the building. Your visit can then be enjoyed to the full without overcrowding. This means that you need to stick rigidly to the time you are given. The Islamic architecture is reminiscent of other famous Islamic buildings across the Middle East, as one would expect. It's... A real shame that third parties book out the tickets weeks in advance and sell them for three to four times the price. The actual ticketing system redirects you to ticketek and it was sold out for three weeks. The staff are incredibly rude and ignore non-Spanish speakers.

We spent nearly all day here covering the palaces, but apart from the main attractions the biggest draw for us was the gardens. The orchards around the Generalife are amazing even in April the flowers are out. If you can walk to the Alhambra go through the old town around the fort walls near the and then a must is... More
