Our Granada Tapas Tour was in July 2019. We had 8 people (4 kids, and 2 seniors with mobility issues). Both Gayle, the owner, and June, our guide, were so gracious about modifying our itinerary and the timing of our tour to accommodate our family's needs (we wanted to walk less, and to do the tour in the evening, when the worst of the heat was past).
On the tour, June could not have been friendlier or more helpful! She chose delicious foods (including vegetarian options), and moved us a little outside of our comfort zone to experience new things, while making sure that we enjoyed every bite!
1 year later, we were looking for a drink recipe that June has given us. Unable to find it, I emailed Gayle, and not only did she remember me, but she gave us the recipe that we were looking for! As always, her customer service was fast, and top rate!
We really could not recommend this experience more, as we learned so much about the food, culture, history and people of southern Spain!

Thank YOU Jennifer for giving such positive feedback. June and I are delighted you enjoyed yourselves and it´s always a pleasure to tailor things slightly for any group or family, nothing is set in stone for us. I´m sure you´ll be making that drink this summer and for many more summers to come. Stay safe in the US, best wishes, Gayle

From our meeting at San Cristobal outlook until our parting near the river, the tour, tapas and discussion were totally delightful. With Ramon as our guide we made our way through the Albaicin area and down to old town with a running commentary on the history of the city and its present day highlights plus thoughtful answers to our many questions. With three separate stops for tapas and beverages we were pleasantly nourished by the time the sun had set. The pleasant evening was ideal for a stroll back to the hotel.
We give our fullest recommendation for the tour and feel it is a great value for the experience.

Our tour was wonderful! Not only did we eat great tapas but we also had an amazing guide who took the time to show us hidden treasures in the city. Our tour guide (June) was extremely thorough. We saw the San Nicolas view point, a nearby mosque, the San Mirador view point, the streets of Albayzin, the silk market, the cathedral in Granada, Plaza Nueva, Plaza de Bib-Rambla, etc. She took us to all the best tapas in town and was informed as well as an excellent conversationalist. It couldn't have been better!

I´m really glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves Schelina. As requested, this was a totally personalised tour that June provided for you. She loves what she does and has been in Granada for over 20 years so knows her stuff! She also likes to chat so has plenty to say about the city she calls home. Many thanks for the positive review, she´s delighted. Kind regards, Gayle

We have been on a lot of tours and Gayle is by far and away the best guide and director we ever had.
She is friendly, inclusive, knowledgeable, passionate about her tours, her groups and making sure her people are entertained, informed and have a great time.
We were lucky enough to be in Ronda for the festival and with the introductions to the locals that Gayle was able to make we had a marvelous time, making memories that are as vivid today as when we had the delight of the experience.
If you only have one opportunity for a tour in Spain make it one of Gayle's.

Dear Tim, thank you so much! I am over the moon to hear you have such fond memories of your trip to Spain. We did have a great time in Ronda, didn´t we, that was something. I hope, when it´s considered safe again, people will feel confident to return to this part of the world and come and see Andalucia with me. All the best and stay safe! Best wishes, Gayle

Gayle's tour across Southern Spain was hands down one of the best trips I've done in recent years. We laughed, ate, laughed, walked, laughed and ate some more, in non-touristy cafes and restaurants. Wonderful sights, scenic walking, exceptional food and value for money, and all with a fun and knowledgeable guide. If I didn't live on the other side of the world, I'd do a tour with Gayle every year. Anne-Marie, Sydney.

Thank you Anne-Marie for your comment. We did have a great time, didn´t we! Life is all about laughter (and learning) and I´m so happy to hear you feel we managed to combine both. If you do ever make it back to this part of the world, I´d be happy to take you round Andalucía again, there is so much to see. All the best, Gayle

Our guided tapas tour in Grenada was so worth it! June is a fun and knowledgeable guide and made us feel like locals, introducing us to tapas and drinks at four places she picked for their diversity. By the end of the evening, we wanted to take her home with us! Lots of laughter with just the right amount of walking and history. The six of us, ages 46 to 76, have all declared the evening a highlight of our time in Spain.

This was definitely one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Granada, if not our entire trip to Spain. A tour we had booked had been cancelled, so we frantically booked a very last minute tapas tour on GranadaTapasTours.com (probably only 6 hours in advance) and they promptly arranged one for us with absolutely no problems. We later found out that we were the only two people on the tour, so in effect they managed to arrange a private tour just for us in 6 hours, which is amazing. Moreover, we went in expecting a regular night of bar crawling and tapas gobbling, but this activity was much more than that.
The tour starts with a walk through the streets of Albaicin. It starts from high up on the hills of Albaicin, and works its way down, so it is a rather effortless walk. However, if it rains, be cautious as the steep streets can get rather slippery. Our guide Irene was super knowledgeable, taking us on an in-depth tour on our way down the hilly streets, telling us the history and lore of the area, as well as interesting facts about the city and local culture. This part of the tour took much longer than I expected, and I felt I got so much more out of it than many of the dedicated non-tapas tours I took in previous cities we visited. I was truly and very pleasantly surprised to be getting so much insight on a tapas tour! In many of the cities in Spain we later visited, we could often point to things there and say "Hey look, it's just like Irene said!"
Once you get to the flatter part of town, is when the tapas tour actually begins. Since we had made such a late booking, we had no reservations, so Irene took her chances taking us to places she thought we would like. Luckily, we got tables at all of them! Irene was not only knowledgeable about the city, but obvioulsy this being a tapas tour, she was even more knowledgeable about food and wine! This tapas tour gave us more insight into the different wines and helped us understand the food and tapas culture in Granada and the rest of Spain. It actually helped us immensely during the rest of our trip throughout Spain, and got us out of the rut of ordering Sangria everywhere we went.
Irene was such a wonderful guide, and by the end of the night, I think if we ever visit Granada again, we will be visiting a friend. Thank you so much for showing us around, Irene!

Our guide June was terrific, she blended aspects of local history, culture, and of course food into a full evening of fun. We went til about 11pm, and our tour group was small (only four of us) so we had a very personalize experience.
We went to three tapas bars that offered a huge variety of choices and location, and in each case June made spot-on recommendations for tapas that were outstanding in variety and tastes. My wife is pescatarian (fish only for meat), and June was sure in each case to to identify options that worked for her diet. We walked a total of about four miles, mostly downhill or flat. beginning at a historic neighborhood, and ending in the core of the town.
I highly recommend this tour - book it early in your stay in Granada, as your guide will give you tips on places to go and things to see!

We had a fantastic time with our guide Irene who showed us some remarkable tapas bars. Irene explained the history of tapas and was extremely informative about Granada, wine, local beer, and tapas. I highly recommend this tour. I recommend taking the tour early on your visit to Granada so you know the best places to drink and eat during your time in this fabulous city.

The "Hidden Gems" tapas tour with Irene as our local tour guide was awesome: The tour started at 8 pm and it mostly took place in the Realejo area. Irene chose special tapas bars we would not have found by ourselves. The variety of tapas was excellent and she made a great effort to pick outstanding local wines for us which showed her expertise as wine connoisseur. And even more important it was great company with her and the other tour participants (altogether a group of 4) as well and time had passed too quickly when we finished the tour late at night at a tapas bar in the Alcaicería area near the Cathedral. We would definitely recommend the tour with Irene as the guide. We would do it again any time.

I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your night with Irene and the others on the tour. She does indeed like her wine and knows a lot about it too! Thank you for your comments and please do come back and do it all again! Kind regards, Gayle

I was trying to book for tomorrow night 8:00pm tour. But the website crashed. Can you help? Is there still room for 2 on the tour?
Written October 21, 2019
We did not have the irritating experience you have had. Rick Steves guide book had a phone number I believe. See if you can locate that information. We were only three of us. My husband, my grandson and I. We really liked the guide and the tour. We learned a bit more about Spain as well as about the Spanish custom of tapas in three different restaurants.

Can you advise how much the tour is and what’s included
