The gardens are amazing and beautiful even in February. They are meticulously manicured. Although many plants and trees are still dormant it is well worth the trip. As it is part of Alhambra makes it more worthwhile.

Even in winter these gardens have charm and still hold the mystic feel of the Alhambra. The Moors set out beautiful gardens, patios, fountains and terraces.

The summer palace and the gardens are less impressive and less preserved than the Alhambra. Unfortunately, our guided tour took us to Alhambra, so the post coitum tristae shadowed this second beauty...

The first element of the Alhambra we toured. Awe inspiring views and inspirational gardens. I think Generalife means Garden of the Architect?

The generalife, even with the magnificent garden hibernating, offers great views, an interesting building, and the natural outskirts of the immense Alhambra area.

Don't quite understand what all the fuss is about, but it is still worth visiting if you happen to be in Granada. There are much more impressive gardens/buildings in many other parts of Spain

It is part of the Alhambra visit, and it's a nice place, accessible after a walk trough the gardens of the Alhambra. Once you leave the opulent Nasrid Palace, you automatically stroll through the gardens to the opposite side of the Alhambra site that lead...More

The Generalife shows a complex of flower and vegetable gardens surrounded by water everywhere. It was the place where the sultan used to rest. It is beautiful to see how preseved it is and how the gardens are being constantly cared!

You can pay only for the Gardens, but the whole ticket (around 15€) include the gardens, the Nasrid Palaces (Palacios Nazaríes) and the Generalife, too. It is really worthwhile.

Further: The citrus trees may have fruit but the likelihood of flowers would be low HOWEVER you can certainly expect to be able to enjoy the Alhambra and Generalife with less crowds so you will be able to see the buildings... More

Hello, I was there again in April 2017 and the beds were in full bloom so nothing to worry about if April is your choice.
