Fantastic historic mosque, with incredible tilework, a maize of rooms, and more modern quarters built in. We spent a good few hours just wandering around inside. And then outside were beautiful gardens, fountains, ponds, gazebos etc. Certainly one of the main attractions for Seville. Do not miss this.

Incredible architecture , beautiful gardens and very easy to visit since it is located in the center of Sevilla , near the Cathedral.

It is a great place to visit, nearly that overwhelming like the Alhambra in Granada (but location cannot compete). You find beautiful laboured wood and stonework, ornaments... and also the gardens are impressive. To admire and enjoy the place, you should plan half a day. And as there are mostly very long waiting queues at the entrace for ticket buyers,... More

The Alcazar is a must see. it is an oasis of calm and peace in the bustling city. The architecture and style of the buildings are wonderful, and the gardens are a joy to walk through. Get an audio guide to help you get the best out of your visit. Absolutely wonderful way to spend a few hours.

The Alcázar is quite breath taking in some ways, but the visitor needs to be aware that it is a 16th century rather than moorish construction but based more on Mudéjar than other European traditions. If the building is impressive the gardens are truly wonderful - even in January. A total delight and a must-see when visiting Sevilla.

This royal palace, which was originally built as a Moorish fort, has outstanding mudéjar architecture. It is still used by the royal family as the official Seville residence and each monarch has made their own additions to the Alcazar. There are the most spectacular Islamic, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque design elements. The exquisitely designed gardens and the symmetry everywhere will... More

I was amazed at how fab this place is. The gardens and palace are really beautiful. Entrance fee is €9 each but well worth it. Could have happily stayed all day taking photos. Definitely will go back.

The castle is an interesting combination of Moorish and Christian architecture with beautiful and extensive gardens that could absorb most of a sunny day. The entrance fee of €9.50 is very reasonable but the audio guides are expensive for what they offer at €5 each. The only criticism is that the features on the audio guide don't follow a logical... So worth a visit, even if you are planning to see the Alhambra on your trip. Make sure to book ahead, as the ticket lines are stupendous. Plan to allow at least 2-3 hours for your visit, more if you like to take lots of pictures.
