My daughter and I spent more than 3 hours here and hardly scratched the surface. The Real Alcazar is a beautiful and overwhelming place, well worth seeing. Definitely buy tickets in advance to avoid the line. You have to specify a time to visit the royal apartments, which wasn't entirely clear to me so we missed out time (we were... More

Ignore the guide times as given out on the handheld audio guide, take your time and simply imagine and revel in the wonderful opulent surroundings that show the true ability of those craftsmen that constructed it. What it must have been like when it was an occupied palace/s will test the most creative minds. Don't skip the gardens, we went... More

I did not expect the beauty, spaciousness and tranquillity that greeted me when I visited the Alcazar. The colours, textures and general design were amazing and provided a wonderful respite from the world outside. This is a place that demands time to enjoy its very essence.

extravagance and beautiful. the highlight for me is the pool in the center of the building where events are held and noble guests were invited.

Some stunning views in this palace which also boasts amazing gardens and beautiful courtyards. Go early and in winter to enjoy as much of it as possible without others. Selfish, I know, but utterly satisfying.

This is an amazing residential palace complex. It is well maintained and very different from the typical European royal residence/palace/fortress. It is also interesting that it is still in use.

The Reales Alcazares still serve as the residence of the Spanish royal family in Seville. The gracious buildings and extensive gardens are well worth visiting.

Had signed up for the general admission and con curator real alto. Arrived the required 15 min prior to timed tour. Bags and jackets are security screened then put into provided lockers (1 Euro) which is returned upon collecting items. Sadly my audio guide malfunctioned near the beginning of the tour and nothing was to be done but trail after... More

This was a real wow visit to see all the building takes quite a long time so it's a good idea to go early and miss the queues. It is a beautifully preserved moorish palace with the most amazing decoration and gardens..

The Alcazar is actually three palaces, one of them being in high Moorish style, built by craftsmen provided by the Sultan of Granada as a courtesy to the Catholic monarchs of Seville. How do I know that? Because of the wonderful tour of the Alcazar provided by Enrique Duenas, While we were waiting in line to buy tickets to enter... More
