You take the 170 bus direction Santiponce from the clean and airy bus station at plaz des armas, seville. It goes every half hour on hour and 30 mins past (well it did on a Tuesday). You pay on board and it cost 1.30 euros...More

Easy to get to from Seville central bus station. €1.60. Unfortunately we were not allowed in.. for a combination of reasons... school-boy error about Mondays but filming was not mentioned on the website.

Well worth trip to the largest Roman settlement in Spain which is only 30 mins outside Seville. Magnificent site complete with coliseum and separate theatre outside the main site and birthplace of 3 Emperors. Interesting for any history and culture lover and not crowded.

While you could walk around these ruins by yourself, you would miss so much of the history and the detail unless you take a guided tour. The city of Italica is 9km NW of Seville. Italica was founded in 206BC by the Roman general Publius...More
