This flamenco bar is a long established club which hosts some truly fantastic artists. We visited twice on our visit to Seville and on both occasions we were amazed by the performance. It is remarkable value at €10 per person and the bar is extremely reasonable.
Some things to be aware of if you are a novice tourist. The best seats are reserved for members of the club and as a visitor you need to arrive several hours before a show to reserve a decent seat. You are not allowed to take drinks into the performance area and the welcome of the regulars is mixed, they will appreciate your love of flamenco but any transgressions are not lightly overlooked. Performances start late and finish even later, the locals seem to have no need for sleep.
If you have never seen flamenco before then you will be blown away by the passion, power and quality of the performances. The quality of the musicians, singes and dancers is quite outstanding. An absolutely amazing experience that should not be missed.

We got a tip from our host in Sevilla and learned of this place.
We were there early, to ensure we could buy tickets and we felt it was the right decision as the venue was packed, with people standing to see the show.
We loved the passion displayed by everyone, specially the guitar player (from the Camillo family) and the dancer (Juan Mateo).
Highly enjoyable and good chance to interact, still, with locals who love flamenco, although clearly this place is no longer a secret as 60-80% of us were not locals.

It will stay as one of the most cherished moments of my stay. Not only for the rich and emotional dance show, really powerful and well done to the detail, but also for the informal dinner in the pleasant terrace, enjoying local delis with a taste of ‘being at home’. Super reasonable prices to live a genuine collective moment and plunge into the flamenco atmosphere. Check online for the days of show.

So very disappointed to travel here on a Saturday to see the show at 8pm. All closed up! We returned at 9pm just in case, but nothing was happening. We checked on their facebook page and online before making the journey and there was no indication that the venue would be closed tonight.

What used to be my favourite place for flamenco shows in Seville since 2017 now turned into something I won't recommend to anyone.
Unfriendly staff, nearly all the seats are reserved for the club members ("socios") - which means you have to stand for 3 hours. You can' t take your drink to the show - you have to kill it at the bar. Humidity is horrible. Level of the bands: the guitar players are usually awesome for sure. Singers: as Paco said ("la busqueda"): "most of them are just screaming".
PS: I am a musician/guitar player.
8 Euro ?
You get (less) what you paid for.

I was in Seville for a flamenco intensive and had been visiting all the other amazing tablas with the other students when our teacher recommended that we must come here. We were so glad he did. We knew it would be good when we walked into the place because it was packed with all locals. It turned out to be one of the best shows, even some of the locals joined the performers at the end, for some impromptu bulerias. So much fun, cosy authentic environment, amazing performers. Loved it.

This place was recommended by someone living in Seville as authentic flamenco performers. The show was stunning and definitely did not disappoint. The venue is intimate so the energy and emotion from the performers radiates to the audience. This was our first flamenco experience and we were thoroughly impressed with the talent, energy and emotion displayed by the performers. There is a bar serving drinks and some tapas and also a lovely courtyard area. We paid €6 entry fee which was well worth it.

Small intimate setting with Flamenco performed at its very best. This is a venue for local flamenco enthusiasts who belong to the club, not on the usual tourist trail. Members get the front seats but as you can see the stage well from most positions. You can really feel the emotion and the audience responds with Ole and Vale when the dancing gets frenetic. You can buy a drink and small tapas which you can eat in the outside patio . I went twice as it was so good. Performances most Wednesday nights at roughly 9.00p ( Spanish time !). Need to arrive earlier to bag a seat and have a drink.

Peñas Flamencas Torres Macarena is a cultural association dedicated to flamenco. Shows are often at a nominal charge which goes directly to the operation of the cultural association. It offers bar service, tapas or food. But don't expect fancy settings and many services here. It’s all about Flamenco.
We found out about it from a friend living in Seville, and were totally knocked out, You won’t find this in the Gothic Center of tourist shows.
Only 120 seats, filled mostly with locals, the walls smelled of authenticity. We sat only 7 ft. from the stage and it was so exciting I was giddy with laughter and a sense of being in the center of a local flamenco universe. Try finding out about their shows and please go. It was unforgettable.

If you know little of Flamenco, go to one of the touristic places on offer. If you already know something of it, treat yourself to this club, created and run for its members. Clientele is largely Spanish, so better if you know some. Good bar, with excellent food and drinks, entry ticket a steal. But the real attraction is the Flamenco 3 nights most weeks - very few places like this are left, even in Seville

I plan on going tomorrow night. Do I need to get tickets in advance or just show up early and pay the entrance fee? Also, what time does the show start?
Written January 16, 2018
Can't wait to go here - I hear shows are on Wednesdays. Is that right? what time is good to arrive?
Written September 22, 2016
I know we went on a Wednesday, but don't know if that is the only night.
We got there quite early.and waited quite a while, maybe 90 minutes.
The place is a total hoot, and if you have the kind of evening we had there, then just plain unforgettable. Enjoy!
