Beyond the Iberian peninsula most people are rather uncomfortable about bullfighting, which makes a visit to this venerable bullring with attached museums all the more fascinating – not least for those who would never consider attending a bullfight. An inspection of the ring, and the backstage facilities that sustain it (the Plaza, of necessity, has its own ER) is a good counterpoint to a browse around a museum which is full of artwork and costumes celebrating the skill of the matador together with the mounted heads of their animal nemeses. Go with an open mind and you’ll leave with a much better understanding of bullfighting’s place in the life and culture of Andalucía.

Entry to this site includes a guided tour in both Spanish and English. O It was pleasant to hear the history of the site and of bull fighting in general. Although i don't like bull fighting myself it was interesting to hear the stories and to visit the museum.

Well worth a visit if you are in Seville for a few days. Not expensive and entry includes a tour with a guide who spoke very good English. Didn't go to a bullfight (there was one the next evening) as not something everybody agrees with but it was interesting to learn the history and see the exhibits and off arena... More

Controversial or not, the guided tour is interesting and good. Lots of interesting facts. You’ll be guided to 4 different areas during 40-50 min. First a small art museum, then a very interesting bullfighting museum followed by a visit to the arena (in the seating area – not out on the arena) and finally a visit to the chapel and... More

Tour of stadium by articulate friendly lady. Included small museum and observation of stadium. Separate training area unavailable due to fight the next day. Tour was about 8 euros - to see a fight it ranges from 70 euros upwards depending on how in the sun you are.

Very glad we took this tour. We learned so much about the history of bull fighting from an excellent guide. She was so enthusiastic about the sport and had our full attention throughout the entire tour.

The place isn't too impressive so if you are limited on time skip it. But it is cool to see a stadium where they do the bullfighting

After a day with "Aprende de Torros" where my wife and I had the opportunity to visit a bull estate, see torros and learn the story behind corridas and how bulls are looked after we were very curious to visit this historic building. The visit was very good, we had a 20% discount with the bus city sightseeing ticket so... More

This is a great historical bull fighting arena. The 40 minute tour was informative and worth taking to learn more about the history of bull fighting and see the arena.

We had a tour on bull fighting day. It was very difficult to understand the guide. Because of the acoustics of the building and because she didn't speak English that well.
