We passed the place walking from our hotel and thought it was just a bar selling BBQ food, how wrong we were. After searching on TripAdvisor we found out what it really was and got there for the 9:30 show and stayed for the 10:30 show and were well impressed, didn't do food as we had already eaten but drinks... This is a large open-concept bar - a wide room with four tables stretching along it, with maybe 35 people on benches on each side of each table - and a half-gallery with not quite as much seating. But everyone can hear, and most can see. We got there a bit after the first show (9:30) started, and were at... More

My husband said about this place he had read about I didn't believe him. What a fun night watching the dancing and drinking (I wouldn't eat here) you need to be there 9/9.15 to get good seats. I got a selfie with guitarist and singer the flamenco was great.

To see a free flamenco show so close to the city centre is rare. The Carboneria is, quite rightly, popular with locals and tourists. Facilities are basic. You sit on hard benches. Drinks are reasonable. Food is reportedly poor but we noticed lots of people were trying it. The music was amazing. The singing was superb but the dancing was... More

Fantastic free Flamenco venue. Get there before 9:15 if you want good seats, or come right after the first show (around 10) and try to grab a seat after someone leaves. We stayed for the first two shows. Both featured the same guitarist, male singer, and female dancer, and they both had a different male dancer. The first show also... More

This little flamenco hive is hidden a 10 minutes walk from the cathedral in a very inconspicuous alleyway. It has a great atmosphere, very reasonably priced drinks and legitimate flamenco. Highly recommended *****

A good, low-pressure environment to see a great, free flamenco show. There is no entry fee, but buying at least a drink feels like the right thing to do. My partner and I loved the casual setting and beautiful and genuinely passionate performance. First show started at 9.30, would recommend getting here at 9 or 9.15 to get a seat.

Having managed to actively avoid flamenco for the first week of our stay, we were super excited about getting our annual flamenco fix at the bar we'd heard so much about . Arriving just before 9pm on Thursday, a short queue had formed, and soon after the place was packed with visitors and the atmosphere in Seville's dance shack was... More

Trough the internet we found out that there was also an "secondary level of expieriencing the Flamenco-lifestyle"... In a unknown and less-touristical part of the lovely city of Sevilla, we found - behind ancient houses and trough an opened gate- a troughly magnificent environment to expierience the "real Flamenco". Inside an ancient coal-storage, called "Carboneria" local people installed a bar... More

Arrive early to get a good seat as it does get busy later on when shows start between 9pm- 9.30pm. The shows are very good and entry is free. Drinks are very well priced with plenty of choice, 6e for a gin and tonic. The only downfall is the food is of poor standard. If they inproved on this it... More
