When looking for a holiday I chose Zaragoza due to the rich Roman history and ruins and I was surly not let down. This Museum has a lot of information about the rich history of Zaragoza with well kept ruins to gauge at. It is a really good place to visit, you almost feel apart of it. This is one... More

This roman theatre was only discovered in 1972 and slowly unearthed over many years to display something that is truly brilliant. It is right in the middle of town a short walk from plaza espana , you can view it from the street but the entrance to the museum is worth the 4€ entrance fee , there are English free... More

This is the best attraction in Zaragoza. You can walk there from an old city hotel. There are free photos from the outside streets in two areas. It is worth the price to go inside (there is a charge). Ask for an English booklet (if you are English speaking). The signage within the museum has some English too. There are... More

Great museum, the Roman ruins are completely visible from the back, huge canopy protects the ruins from the elements. No need to worry if the museum is closed, you can see the ruins easily from the outside, Thank you Zaragoza for building such a tourist friendly museum and not covering up all the ruins.

My husband and I were the sole visitors the day we went to the four Roman sites clustered in the old city of Zaragoza. Well worth visiting.

We decided to visit the museum because it was close to our dinner restaurant. My friends had to drag me out to make our reservation in time. The Theatre of Augustus in Zaragoza was one of perhaps 30 built in Roman Spain, and the largest -- seating 6000. The museum tells the story of the chance discovery in 1972 of... More

We didn't go into the museum as there is a little Museum Cafe right next to it and you have an excellent view of the excavated amphitheatre from there but obviously can't see the museum exhibits.
