The Palace is beautiful as are the rest of the grounds. There's a cool underground cultural centre/library where we saw the amazing Quentin Blake exhibition!!! Theres a nice little cafe near... More

Google maps had us going down the tiniest of one way streets to find the entrance to the park, yet we could never quite get there. We could see the back side of the park from a wider road, but could never seem to get in. Perhaps if we hadn't been jetlagged, we might have had more patience, but we... More

We decided to visit Parque Aiete since it was near our hotel and we really enjoyed our visit. It is truly beautiful and relaxing, so I really recommend it.

What a refreshing place to visit. Beautiful lawns and flower beds, little ponds and grottos. Lots of up and down walking through forest a vibrant greens. Even a little cafe. Relax and enjoy the fresh air out of the downtown area.

Well maintained and spacious with manicured landscaped gardens around the palace and a wilder woods side behind. My local park to walk dogs and collect kindling for the fire. On the weekends the cafe area is full of kids. This is the former home of France the spanish dictator.

This park was once known as "Franco's Palace"; the dictator used to spend his summer time in this house. Fortunately, at this moment, i'ts a great public place for a walk. There's a public library and entertainment activities for kids, just behind those green glasses under the Palace. It is worthwhile to know that in the Palace some rooms may... More

Worth the bus ride to the park. There's a magnificent public library. The architecture is modern and very respecting of the natural surrounding. In the park there are also 3 or 4 SEQUIOA trees!!!! Not sure how they got there, but they are majestic. The ponds and the waterfall are worth the trip. Very peaceful and relaxing place. A must!!!!

This is a pretty park with some nice buildings, but it is quite far from the centre (about 30mins from Amara, uphill), although there are buses too. I wouldn't put it high on the list of things to see, but if you are in Donostia for a few days, then go ahead and visit it! It's also a good place... More

This was a significant walk from where we were staying, but it was definitely worth it. The park is on a hill and had a very varied landscape. The cafe at the top was very good value and not really used by foreign tourists, a good place to get away from the busy beach and old town.
