We took the ferry to the island and spent a glorious day there. Relaxed in the sun at the restaurant/bathing area and went for a walk around the island. The ferry travels from the harbour regularly. Tickets on sale at the harbour and although I don't recall the cost it certainly was inexpensive. A wonderful day out and highly recommended.... More

Took the small ferry out to the island where we spent a lovely couple of hours sunbathing and swimming off the quayside. The friendly bar serving food & drinks just makes the whole experience perfect. Def recommended !

A twenty minutes boat ride takes you to this green little island in the Concha bay of San Sebastián. The boats run every half hour in summer. It was a bit awkward to find the ticket office and where to board when coming from the old town. The day we visited the island was one of the best in the... More

This island is accessible only by motorboat/shuttle. There are few rustic pathways to follow around the island. Bring mountain type of footwear. There's a bar by the dock ran by amazing people! It gets hot during summer. A must visit for sure, then again, the pathways and walkways are kept rather wild, but that's the charm of this place!!

If you happen to be in SS during the summer, I would strongly recommend go swimming to Santa Clara Island. I won't take too much time, specially when the tide is low. If you don't feel too inclined to swim, you can also rent some kayaks in Ondarreta beach. You may also take some money to have a light snack... More

On a beautiful sunny day, and in full on holiday mood, we took the "round the bay" boat trip to the island and back. It was a lovely trip and well worth doing. We didn't land on the island, and even in early June there were quite a lot of people on it. It must be unbearably crowded in high... More

The guided tour ferry Trip to Santa Clara island was probably the highlight of my stay here! It's a fantastic ferry ride/ tour around the coast taking you past Mont Igledo & Urgell & the combs. It gives you such a great view & feel of the coast. Then you get to hop off on the island & spend time... More

The Isla de Santa Klara is around 350 meters from the shoreline and most regular swimmers will find the journey easy. Having checked with the lifeguard, we swam from the western edge of La Concha beach, stopping at one of the floating platforms along the way to take stock, but also to take advantage of the slides and springboards to... You can get a ferry to the island from the old port. They are very frequent and the trip takes about ten minutes. The island is small with well defined paths around it. Views offer a lovely and very different perspective of San Sebastián and the beaches. It is possible to swim out to and/or back from the island. However,... More

Really worth visiting. The island has some kind of magic. The boat trip around the bay is a must when visiting Donostia.
