The green ring has many different starting points and you can do the by bike or walking. It is a great way to get some gentle exercise and at any point you can turn towards the city and walk to the centre of Vitoria.

We enjoyed what we saw, but got lost a number of times. Some people are friendly to help, and others not interested in helping. We rented 2 bikes to get around which helped.

Something Vitoria has to be proud about. Actually a bunch of parks (Zadorra, Salburua, Zabalgana, Olarizu...) connected among them conforming a belt that surrounds the city. All are unique in some way, so you can have different experiences visiting each of them. The most interesting one in my opinion would be Salburua, with impressive wetlands (don't miss the bird watching... More

How lucky Vitoria is having this haven surrounding the city! I love all the parks. They are all within walking distance from the cuty centre (45-60 minutes) and they represent what a green city should be

The Green Ring are the different green areas and natural reserves that surround the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz. A quiet space where the people can relax, walk them dogs or do exercise. If you are lucky maybe you would see foxes, rabbits or roe deer. And if you go to Salburua Park storks and deers will be waiting for you.

It is a real luxury to have all this nature near and almost inside the city. Very interesting any season.

As inhabitant of Vitoria this is one of the things I am most proud of. You can walk around Vitoria perimeter using only green areas! Besides the paths are very comfortable and smooth, and there are benchs and drinking fountains along the way. Everyday you can find a new surprise! The Green Ring is full of native flora and fauna.... More

Vitoria is ringed with parks and green spaces. That is why it was named the Green City of Europe for 2012. Wonderful place to visit and walk.

There are many hits around this Green Ring around the city of Vitoria. On the East you can go birding during the whole year or see the deers. On the West you can relax beside a lake or having a walk along the river to the North
