Very special experience! Just like getting lost in the old city while finding a new city within it. It was a great weather when I attended the tour which made it ever better.

We decided to walk up to the church on the hill as we were on the plaza and what a find! The ancient fortifications have been restored to give travellers an idea of how the city must have been defended in the 11th century with the narrow openings for cannon and a sweeping view of the surrounding countryside. People's houses... More

Compared with other city walls we have visited during our trip these were quite minimal, sadly largely destroyed by later developments in the name of progress.

There is not much of the city walls left and touring around the old town is a bit confusing. What is good is that they have travelators in strategic places so you can get up and down more easily

I enjoyed the tranquillity of the old centre during siesta. This town is a hidden gem. Great food and drinks too.

The old town hides amazing buildings, city walls, stories and great pinchos and cafés. Additionally you have the green ring, with forest and parks all around the city, to hike, walk, ride, run...

Definitely worth a tour. Such an amazing place of history and we'll explained by the tour guides. This is a must see in Vitoria.

The walls give you the feelings of as if you are in the medieval ages itself. You can imagine soldiers and archers in the wall and people going on about their chores inside the city walls. You can take a walk along the walls and get into the restaurant area where you can enjoy tasty snacks as well. A very... More

we really enjoyed visiting the Vitoria walls, although of course you cannot compare them with other walls in other towns/cities around the country. However, I really appreciated seeing that the city makes an effort to restore them, and show you the beautiful history of the place. The physical walls are not that impressive in comparison to others, but I found... More

Not impressed, oversold and trying to hard. I couldn't stop thinking that I'd be furious if I was one of the neighbours with a freaking tourist strip where there should be my garden. Just ok, not the best thing in Vitoria by far..
