We had a very disappointing experience with Cooltra. I booked a scooter 2 months in advanced for our day trip to Formentera. The booking process online was relatively easy. However, I was emailed a contract in Spanish and I emailed customer service back twice asking for a copy in English, I never received it. They also offer a check in option online to enter your license, which we did. When we arrived at the store, the employee informed us that we would not be able to rent the scooter because we did not have a European license. We were never informed of this. She stated it was in the contract that was emailed to us (the one in Spanish!). In addition, the employee informed us we would need to email Cooltra in order to obtain our refund (the same email address for customer service that never sent us an English contract) There are numerous other options right at the port in Formentera that were super helpful and allowed us to rent with an American drivers license. Really poor customer service at Cooltra and do not recommend!…

This shop is completely crooked. AVOID at all costs and rent from ANY other shop on the island. I rented a scooter online in advance. Used their online check in, scanned my US drivers license and they accepted it. When we arrived at the shop, they said you have to have an international drivers license to rent. This is not clear on their website at all, but they say "oh well its in the terms and conditions"...ya everyone reads that closely right? I asked for my money back to go rent another scooter (because EVERY other shop doesn't require an international license) and they REFUSED. What??? I've called to ask again to customer support, same story. This is SO shady it's not even funny. We rented a scooter from another shop day of on the island, so easy, quick and with my US license. AVOID these guys.…

Been to Formentera 5 years in a row. Typically rent from Pujols but decided to try out Cooltra given good reviews. Rented a 125cc gasoline motorbike at about 50 euros/day. Was expecting newer bikes/helmets and better service than Pujols but was disappointed. Was given a motorcycle that was quite scratched and hadn't even been properly cleaned (sand/dust all over). Gas tank was given 1/2 full instead of full. From driving around, it looked like Pujol have renewed their fleet (and have more colour options) so will probably go back to Pujol next time.…

We rented an electric scooter and this is what we found: - We tried to do the check in online previously to avoid queues but it had not worked so we had to repeat it at Cooltra. + The staff members were very nice and they adviced us to go back if our battery was low so we could change the motorbike. + They changed our motorbike without problems. + We didnt have to queue or pay in Illetes and Beso beach. Great experience…

We rented one of Cooltra’s new electric scooters - it was brilliant! As with electric cars, the torque is instant and totally smooth. It’s silent as well so you can go to quiet places and enjoy the peace. And it’s quick too!! Best of all there are no fuel costs to worry about. We travelled the length of the island and had about 20km range left when we handed it back after a day of blasting. Would definitely recommend! …
