Llevant is definitely not as pretty as most other beaches on island. It can also get very windy with larger surf which often brings seaweed. On the plus side, it is a long, wide beach so doesn’t seem as crowded as others.

This is just as beautiful as the neighbouring Ses Illetes but far quieter. I would definitely recommend going here instead.

We only spent one day on Formentera at the end of May and this was our favourite beach by far. Really quiet with maybe 20 people on the entire beach but i'm sure this will get much busier in the summer. Crystal clear water, perfect for swimming and pure white sand. Bring a picnic with you if you can as the nearby cafe is a total rip off but to be expected.…

Having two sister beaches, Llevant on the east side and Ses Illetes on the west side, is quite an advantage on windy days. You can choose the one that is most protected from the wind, depending on its direction. Both beaches are wonderful, pristine sandy beaches with pure transparent water. Llevant being usually less crowded than Ses Illetes, it is my preferred one. …
